GLASS CUBE

Portugal

The client wanted a unique, contemporary, transparent and lightweight place, opening onto the park, which would enable him to be alone with his piano. Absorbent materials compensate for the window facades and provide remarkable acoustics.

The Cube comprises a concrete floor, floating over the ground without any visible structure, supporting, 5 meters higher, a zinc covered awning style roof of around 200m², the discretion of the structure in polished, mirror-effect stainless steel, reinforces the cantilever effect. At the back of this music room stands a lovely acoustic wall in front of which is placed a long Corten steel console. Discreet, millimetric lighting completes the integration of this little gem into its natural setting.
