The geometric, structural forms of the “Meditative Seat” sofa appeal to the classic codes of the Art Deco period. A rosewood shell rests on a polished-mirrored steel frame, while an enveloping Bonvallet velvet seat completes the ensemble. At its base, one side extends into a wood and steel shelf, to accommodate a lamp, bouquet or decorative element. Combining classic and modern, this piece, designed in collaboration with the Jouffre workshops, is a subtle blend of Maxime d’Angeac’s inspirations and his pronounced taste for precious materials.
